I am a member of a gym because I live in a small trailer with no room for any equipment. I don't really dig the gym scene/crowd. So I can't wait until I can move out and get a treadmill. and I have to be miserable to burn any calories. I'm talking 45 minutes a day, incline all the way up, wanting to die. A jog around the park doesn't do a damn thing for me.
I don't do alot of weights, being a chick, but they're not something I neglect. In high school I did powerlifting as my letter (to get the jacket) because I just wasn't socially able to hang with the cheerleading crowd.
They spent afternoons talking about who they did under the bleachers. I spent afternoons in the library killing teletubbies on this website. Those were the days when the schools didn't block everything.
Anyway, good luck in continuing your project. You don't need to lose any weight. But like you said in the article, it's nice to be conscious of health.
